We need a ceasefire NOW.
The majority of people in the US–66%--support a ceasefire to end the horrific violence that has killed 1,200 Israelis and more than 16,000 Palestinians since October. So far the Biden administration and most of Congress are rejecting a ceasefire. So it is crucial that we in the US continue to demand an immediate ceasefire. Israel is bombarding Gaza with bombs and warplanes made in the USA, has forced more than 1.8 million Palestinians in Gaza out of their homes, and is driving a humanitarian catastrophe there with its blockade–all of which is made possible with US political support and billions of dollars of our tax money.
As we continue to pressure the White House and members of Congress to call for a ceasefire, it is crucial that our local and state elected officials join the call for a ceasefire too. The more local and state officials demand a ceasefire, the clearer it is that federal officials are out of touch with public sentiment and their own voters, and the more pressure they will face to join the call to end this assault.

Cities don’t start invasions, but pressure from cities all around the country can certainly help stop them. We will use the combined strength of our cities to stop Israel's atrocious bombardment of Gaza.
